Previous studies showed that home monitors measure a patient’s blood pressure more reproducibly, provide data more representatives of blood pressure changes during daily living, and are better indicators of cardiovascular function and events than office blood pressure equipment. Home monitors are convenient, easy to use, and priced reasonably so that patients can afford their own.
